WAN-IFRA: New multi-country study examines sexual harassment in media workplaces

A new international study by WAN-IFRA Women in News, City St George’s, University of London, and BBC Media Action found that sexual harassment remains a significant challenge in media workplaces. Surveying more than 2,800 media professionals across 21 countries, the research highlights high levels of underreporting and calls for stronger policies, reporting mechanisms, and leadership action to create safer and more inclusive working environments.
