Nearly eight in ten women journalists in the region (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina) have experienced some form of gender-based violence during their careers. The most troubling aspect of sexual and gender-based harassment in the media is not that it happens. The real problem is that it has become so commonplace that it is often dismissed as part of the job.
